Jerry McDonald of the Contra Costa Times reports that Green Bay running back Cedric Benson claims the Raiders tried to sign him, but he still ended up in Green Bay. I don’t doubt that the Raiders made him an offer, but my guess is, the Raiders offered Benson a low-risk salary that he wouldn’t accept. They had plenty of time to sign Benson if they really wanted him.

The San Francisco Gate’s Vic Tafur reports that head coach Dennis Allen believes there are some positive things to take away from Monday’s game.
Tafur also has an article about Terrelle Pryor discussing his performance on Monday night. It wasn’t the play of a polished quarterback, but Pryor could still cause some headaches for defenses.
As I mentioned earlier today, Matt Leinart and Rod Streater had solid performances on Monday night. They can thank each other for that, as many of the plays were made between the two of them. Silver and Black Pride’s Levi Damien has an article up about their chemistry.
